Asa Williams

Founder/Performance Coach

Asa has a passion for coaching and helping guide athletes and fitness enthusiasts to reach their full potential and recover from injuries. At BFD, he leads a team of experts who are dedicated to providing unbeatable services to clients. Asa has many years in the related field, playing baseball for four years at Reinhardt University, being the varsity pitching and catching coach at Cartersville High School since 2019 and acting as the Strength Coordinator for the Southeast Sox travel baseball organization since 2022.

Asa's love for training and coaching athletes started his senior year at Reinhardt when he suffered a career ending knee injury fourteen games into the season. This newfound passion only grew throughout his physical therapy and new "player-coach" role with the team and has rolled over into his daily life.

At Reinhardt, he was the starting catcher for three years and was apart of record breaking years for the Eagles. As a coach at Cartersville, Asa has been a part of many impressive teams and has been spoiled with pitching and catching talent who have reached both the college and professional levels. Lastly, with the Southest Sox, he's help athletes reach their fitness and strength goals, gaining anywhere from 5-15 lbs of muscle over the course of the fall during their development training.

Sean Macko

Physical Therapist

Sean Macko, Doctor of Physical Therapy, is a physical therapist specializing in orthopedic and sports medicine. After graduating from Mississippi State University with a degree in Kinesiology, Sean chose to pursue a Doctorate degree in physical therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He moved to Atlanta after PT School in order to complete advanced training in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, completing a residency program with PT Solutions.

Over the past 5 years, he has provided rehabilitative services in the Dallas, Kennesaw, Marietta, and Lawrenceville areas to athletes of all ages. This includes work with local high schools, travel clubs, and individuals in the community.

Sean chose physical therapy as his career after experiencing shoulder and back injuries during his baseball career. Ever since that time, he has dedicated his career to helping others overcome their injuries to achieve whatever athletic or personal goals they have. He has taken the initiative to learn from some of the best minds in baseball medicine by attending conferences, staying up-to-date with new research, and working on his own research to bring the best rehabilitation he can to the athletes he helps.

Outside of the clinic, Sean has been an active mentor with practicing physical therapists, physical therapy students, and high school students interested in learning about physical therapy. He has led classes on post-concussive rehabilitation, rehabilitation of the overhead athlete, post-operative rehabilitation for ACL, UCL, and Rotator Cuff procedures, and current evidence in low back pain.

In his spare time, Sean enjoys hiking in the North Georgia area, perfecting his grilling techniques, and taking his dog Jack to the park. He remains an avid Chicago sports fan despite their recent lack of success.
